Raymond A. Bruno, born on June 13, 1932, in Weirton, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2017, in Sarasota, Florida.
Raymond graduated in 1953 from West Liberty University in West Liberty, West Virginia with a BA degree in music. He enlisted in the Army in 1953 and served during the Korean War, receiving an honorable discharge in 1955.
His career was varied and successful. He served as a research chemist at Koppers in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and also as an accountant with the Department of the Navy in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Raymond loved gardening, photography, music, and art.
Raymond is survived by his brother, Donald and his wife, MaryAnne; a niece, Deborah Besnier and her husband, Gary; two great- nephews, Joey and Ben Wilke; a nephew, Randy Bruno; and two cousins, Shirley Washam and Jack Gaydos.
He is predeceased by his parents, Stephen and Helen Bruno and his favorite aunt and uncle, Frances and Andy Gaydos.
Raymond will be buried in the Sarasota National Veterans Cemetery.
