LILY DEVORE

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lily May (Murray) Devore. She passed peacefully in her sleep on September 14, 2024. Lily was a homemaker. She loved her family and was a helping hand to anyone. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, plastic canvas, reading and making birthday cakes. She was always on the go. She could put 30,000 miles on a vehicle in one year. She was born October 15, 1934, in Steubenville, OH to the late John and Mabel (Lehman) Murray of Hopedale. She was preceded in death by her husband John “Jack”, whom she married August 30, 1954; son Jackie, brother Frank, sister Betty and companion Fred Guthrie. She is survived by her siblings: sister Verna Saltsman of Cadiz, OH, brother Ed (Lydia) Murray of Hopedale, OH, brother John (Shirley) Murray of Cadiz, OH; children: daughter Sandra (Matt) Williams of Bloomingdale, OH, sons Rory (Doug) Devore of Columbus, OH, Michael (Cindy) Devore of Brilliant, OH, Paul (Ella) Devore of Glen Burnie, MD; grandchildren: Aimee (Carl) Glenn, Stacy (Jacob) DeNoon, Jessy (Andy) Warner, Pamela Devore, Michael (Amy) Devore; great-grandchildren: Clifford (Carlie), August, Samantha (Doug), Gabriel, Cory, Boe, Chance, Carlie; and many nieces and nephews.
