MARGARET RUCKMAN

Margaret Ruckman, 103, of Mingo Junction, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 16, 2024. She was born on April 10, 1921, in Mingo Junction, to the late Michael and Anna (Parzo) Tatar. In addition to her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Allen Ruckman; her son, James “Jim” Wright; her brothers, John, Paul, George, and Mike Tatar; her sister, Anna Grabits; and her granddaughter, Alex DeLong Ruckman.

Margaret was a faithful member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Mingo Junction, and was also a member of the Slovak Society of America. She instilled in her family to always keep Jesus in your heart; and was passionate about drinking her hot Lipton tea. In the wise words of Margaret, “EGADS!”

She is survived by her children, Terry and Tammy Ruckman; daughter-in-law, Susan ( Rev. Mike) Bongart; her grandchildren, Jim (Tracy) Wright, Robert (Denise) Wright, John (Peggy) Wright, Lisa Tolliver, Danny (Kristin) Bove Jr., Cassidy Ruckman, Luke Ruckman, and Caleb Mancuso; her great grandchildren, John (Carli) Wright, Jacob and Caleb Wright, Dalana Bove, Christopher (Mary) Wright, Kayla (Gabriel) Thomas, Matthew and Zachary Wright, Brianna Tolliver, Farrah Lash, and Leo Harless; her great great grandchildren, James Wright, Aliyah Ruckman, and Luca and Rocco Thomas; and her many nieces and nephews including Priscilla, Carol (Louis), and Judy (Ed).

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Valley Hospice for all their care and compassion during this difficult time.

Friends will be received for visitation at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville, Ohio, on Sunday, October 20, 2024, from 4-8 P.M. An additional hour of visitation will be held the following day, Monday, October 21, 2024, at the First United Presbyterian Church, 650 Mclister Ave, Mingo Junction, Ohio, from 11 A.M. until time of services at 12 P.M. with Pastors Vaughn Foster and Mark Gilliam officiating. Burial will follow at New Alexandria Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made in Margaret’s name to Valley Hospice or The First United Presbyterian Church in Mingo Junction.
